Communication

Recently we enabled a new feature for users that will allow you to drag and drop (or paste) images and files into the WYSIWYG editor when you are creating content for emails or news posts. Adding files, images, etc… to a piece of content in OrgSync has long been a challenge that users have expressed, and this is step one in making that a better experience.

ck editor image upload

So, go open a new news post to test this out (or anywhere that has the WYSIWYG content editor), and go find an image you want to put into the post. Drag it into the editor, and see the magic happen. Many image and file types are supported. The max file size limit is 10mb. This limit will make the emails you send less likely to get caught in a spam or mail filter.

With great power comes great responsibility. Due to the variances in the way emails work the best way to ensure an image is received consistently across all devices is to resize the image to the size you want before you upload it. If you can’t do that, then manually entering a size in the image dialog (you can click the icon that looks like a photo in the editor toolbar) is your next best bet. However, if you are unable to do either of those, your content will still be readable in every email client, it just might not look exactly the same.

We think this is going to be a powerful feature that changes the user experience. Mainly because it allows you embed and attach content in a much more natural way.

Reporting

In our efforts to take Data Browser reporting to the next level. Administrators can now utilize quick links to access the associated Data Browser reports for various community and umbrella reports. Remember, Data Browser allows you to easily hide columns, filter results, and compare data. Customize the reports to be only what you need, save them, and you’ll never have to visit the reports page again.

Also when any user is reviewing Form completions they can now easily view them in Data Browser as well.

Lastly, a shout out to the exemplary team work between our developer and UX team members to create these new feature updates.
